Baume & Mercier Clifton Club Baume & Mercier onthult vijf versies van het Clifton Club model, sportieve en elegante horloges gemaakt voor hedendaagse 'gentlesportsmen'.

Om de behoeften van stedelijke, actieve en elegante mannen te vervullen, breidt Baume & Mercier de Clifton Collection uit met een nieuwe serie van vijf uurwerken, de Clifton Club modellen. Dit sport- en multifunctionele horloge met een gepolijst kijkje voor de geprepareerde esthetes, herstelt sportieve waarden elegant en handhaaft traditionele watchmaking-principes.

Dit model is ontworpen voor mannen in alle gelegenheden, professioneel en sportief. Uitgerust met een mechanische zelfwikkeling met datumfunctie, is de Clifton Club gehakt in een hoogwaardig roestvrij staal. De 42 mm diameter behuizing met een dikte van 10,3 mm, zorgt voor dagelijks gebruik en past bij alle polsformaten. Belangrijk punt, het is waterbestendig tot 100 meter.

Door de lijn van traditionele vormen in de Clifton-collectie voort te zetten, die zijn esthetische inspiratie uit de horlogeschiedenis trekt, wordt de horizon-om-schuine rand die rond de koffer draait, de uitgebreide krommen van het horloge geëxcoreerd. In dezelfde ader past de geïntegreerde beschermde kroon perfect met de sportieve, geraffineerde vorm van dit horloge. De kleurenschema's (zwart, wit, blauw) maken de Clifton Club een volledig polyvalent horloge. Het kan in het weekend en tijdens de week, op kantoor en op fiets, op werkreizen en in de ochtendjoggen worden gedragen.

Verschillende versies zijn beschikbaar. De eerste twee opties zijn vervaardigd van gepolijst / satijnkleurig roestvrijstalen behuizing (zwart of wit wijzerplaat) en de "All Road" kalfskinriem met een reliëfde zeildoekachtige stof, exclusief voor Baume & Mercier en bekleed met oranje rubberen kalfskin, omgekeerd gedraaid scherpkantig. Ze bieden verbazingwekkende weerstandskwaliteiten. De band is bestand tegen alles, droge en natte wrijving, UV-straling: deze terreinband kan 24 uur per dag gedragen worden. Tenslotte zijn de gebogen lugs ontworpen om perfecte integratie tussen de tas en de riem te bieden, evenals foutloos comfort op de pols.

The two following versions with a polished/satin-finished stainless steel case (black or blue dial) are equipped with steel bracelet for a more urban look. The integrated stainless steel bracelet, which also echoes the curves on the case and horns, is composed of three polished rows on the sides with a vertical satin finish on the upper edges. The fine adjustment links ensure the bracelet fits the wrist perfectly.

Lastly, Baume & Mercier unveils an all-black version. This virile and matte looking model features a black dial, stainless steel case with a black sand-blasted ADLC coating (amorphous diamond-like carbon, a coating of 2-3 μm thick that is incredibly hard and highly resistant to scratches and shocks) and an integrated black vulcanized rubber strap with openworked sections to offer natural ventilation to the wrist.

Four out of the five versions feature a triple folding buckle with two side pushpieces in stainless steel to guarantee security and ease of opening. This in-house design bears the “Phi” logo stamped on the top. Only the black rubber strap comes with a wide pin buckle in satin-finished stainless steel, also decorated with Baume & Mercier’s “Phi” logo.

To avoid any external inconvenience, the Clifton Club is equipped with an antiglare scratch-resistant flat sapphire crystal to optimize read-off. The opaline-finished or sun satin-finished dial, with protective Zapon varnish to fight oxidation, perfectly captures the light and optimizes read-off of the time throughout the day. To enliven the dial, the flange which features the timer is riveted with index dots and decorated on the edge with a slender inner band in an orange varnished finish. The curved riveted indexes and the Phi logo at 12 o’clock, symbolizing balance, are filled with Superluminova, for optimal visibility both day and night. For an harmonious effect, the hour and minute hands are also picked out in the same Superluminova finish, to enhance the overall design. Lastly, the central second hand finished in an athletic orange varnish features a subtle touch of luminescent Superluminova on the tip, allowing the user to check that their watch has not stopped. The larger screw-down crown allows for rapid adjustment of the date and precise setting of the time, thanks to its stop-second system.
